Inspired by all the biking that I made it through in Kyoto last week, I decided to ride my bike to work today. Then I hopped on after work...
One flat tire
One broken axle
One somewhat bruised tailbone
2 missed CT1 buses
and $90 later...
I made it to the Burren in Davis Square for a much deserved beer.
Bike in the shop until Friday night.

I really hope this post means that you were so enthusiastic that your rode your bike until it fell apart, collapsing and spilling you onto the sidewalk. I really hope it doesn't mean that you got hit by a car. One of my students (Hiromi, the one you met) got hit by a car on her bike on the way to her lesson this week. She was okay, but it's still scary stuff.
That stinks! She's so cute!
I was not hit by a car. I was almost hit by a taxi, but that's not why my bike broke. My bike broke because I do not take care of it. We're fixing that.
ha! is it bad that i laughed for years when i read that? you're enthusiasm and sense of "oh anything makes sense and can be done if i feel like it" has always been a little scary to me but it has in the end brought you so much. i think of you when i order new things at the thai restaurant.
