I am for real:

I know what you're going to say: The white knuckle grip and the wind in my eyes make me look dead sexy... I know. Well, at least it's a record that I really did drive a really big ship.

Yes, that does look like a big boat. It reminds me of when I was 18 or 19 and me and my friends paddled out to sea in rafts that were designed for swimming pools. And a boat about the size of yours created a wave that nearly tipped us over. This was at South Padre Island... I was most concerned about sharks and my inability to swim well. The good thing is that no sharks attacked us, and none of us drowned. Our pool raft armada with its plastic oars came to shore safely. But the crew members were severely sunburned and thirsty!

The geezers you mentioned in your initial description of the event don't look that feeble in the picture. Maybe it's the sun in my eyes.

Congratulations on your heroic return to shore, John. (No, I don't know this guy). And as far as the "geezers" go: I didn't call them that and your eye, like mine, was probably drawn to the nicely bronzed skipper. He's not included in that group. The worst part about that whole post was that it somehow drew the attraction of someone who visited from a factiva IP address. I just hope it wasn't someone on the boat.

Did you see my blog? I posted a picture. Look at it. Also, I think you get to do a lot of fun things in Boston and that I should be a part of them. I´m coming to see you next summer so get ready.
